Modulate raises $25 million for audio analysis software used in deepfake detection and AI-agent monitoring

Modulate has raised $25 million in new funding. TechCrunch and SiliconANGLE reported that the round was led by Future Ventures with participation from Hyperplane and Lakestar. The company’s software analyzes raw audio to provide transcription, emotional analysis, deepfake detection, AI music detection and policy enforcement for voice agents in regulated industries. Modulate says its models are used to alert call centers to possible scams, monitor AI-agent calls, support compliance work and detect deepfake voices in some healthcare and call-center settings. TechCrunch also reported, citing PitchBook data, that Modulate had previously raised $41 million at a $170 million valuation before this round.
