@bayeslord People don't generally have 160 IQ assistants who can do anything for them. They would feel an absence.

@bayeslord given a taste of what's possible recalibrates our minds to "think bigger". it's not quite analogous, but imagine if all modern smartphones just stopped working. what was mere fantasy before 2007-ish has become an integral part of our lives. this trend is accelerating.

@TheZvi Yeah, there's some sort of "aliveness" in Fable's intelligence that GPT 5.5 doesn't have (by default) and Opus 4.8 neither
