@iScienceLuvr Time series into images is an interesting approach
I discovered this paper at the ICML workshops yesterday. The reason it piqued my interest is that back in 2017-2018 there was a lot of research in the fastai community showing how you can get SOTA time series analysis by fine-tuning ResNets on image visualizations of the time series. This paper shows that it turns out this works extremely well with modern image foundation models like CLIP and DINOv2 but only if you use the intermediate representations of the model. Very interesting!
