@simonw That’s a brilliant analogy, and some of the DMs I receive on a daily basis reflect this perfectly! That said good and transparent comms solve for this (to an extent) but I’ve realised no matter what you say there’s always be unsatisfied souls
@reach_vb I've been thinking about this as the "twirly mustaches" model recently A lot of people seem to think that tech industry decisions are mostly driven by literal mustache twirling comic book villains, as opposed to flawed human beings with frequently broken incentive structures
