Introducing Plan Mode. You shouldn't need a perfect prompt to get a good result. Manus now plans before it builds — turning rough ideas into clear specs. You check the plan, not the output → Researches feasibility before building → Surfaces edge cases you didn't think of → Produces a full plan from one sentence → Nothing ships until you confirm Plan first, build once. Available on web and mobile

@SharKop99 @ManusAI There have been improvements made in the models (e.g. using GPT-2 in image generation), we just didn't announce it as a new model :) We're still shipping updates everyday though!
@louiedooey @ManusAI Credit consumption is my biggest challenge so far on @ManusAI as you can see!! I've been talking about this topic again and again. Let's see!
@ManusAI 你们已经很久没更新过模型了。
@ManusAI what’s the current benefit of Manus over using something like ChatGPT Work
@ManusAI This is a massive shift for AI agents! 🧠
To be clear - plan mode reduces the back and forth that would usually happen when you're building something with @ManusAI . Editing the doc directly doesn't cost credits too, so you can make changes before building! Apart from that, credit consumption when Manus runs still remains the same 🙈 it costs us a lot too!
@ManusAI Impressive Manus AI Rough idea in. Full plan out. Build once.
@ManusAI Turning ideas into action with clarity. Very impressive.
@ManusAI Careful guys Manus just learned about plan mode. They are catching up.
@ManusAI App shows Meta!!
@ManusAI Excellent feature streamlining development from idea to execution
**No, it's not straightforwardly owned by Meta anymore.** Meta acquired Manus (the Singapore-based AI agent startup with Chinese roots) in Dec 2025 for ~$2B. But in April 2026, Chinese regulators blocked the deal and ordered it unwound over national security/tech transfer concerns. Meta has since started operational separation (cutting data access, internal use, etc.) as of June. Original investors are reportedly planning a buyback. The process is ongoing — not fully reversed yet, but clearly no longer treated as a completed Meta acquisition. The ManusAI account still carries the old "from Meta" framing, but the facts have moved on.
@ManusAI Who prompted for BGM of this video in Suno?
@ManusAI This feels like a major shift in how we interact with AI agents. The future probably isn’t “write the perfect prompt.” It’s: Give the AI the goal → review the plan → let it execute. Plan first, build once is a powerful workflow.
@ManusAI lazy prompts + fewer iterations needed = less effort, costs less credits 😍😍🤗
