@jachiam0 Lack of trust in government and despair is fully earned by actual untrustworthiness of government and trajectory of technology designed for exploitation.

It would probably help if tech billionaires spent less money lobbying for self-interest and we got rid of Citizens United.

@jachiam0 The thing is by working on this technology without anyone agreeing to let you guys work on this you have demonstrated that you don't have people's best interests at heart. You can't possibly have enough skin in the game to take existential risks on everyone else's behalf.

It's really been a credit to the American people that they've recognized that current tech leaders don't have the American people's interests at heart
