Anti-data center yard signs are popping up in my area. I am entertaining the idea of paying for a billboard with something like “Data centers are awesome, Texas should lead!”

@ID_AA_Carmack Try "Data Centers for Everyone!" Nvidia is testing fridge sizes boxes to be parked at people's homes. Here's they key: The unit is silent, small, and unintrusive. Nvidia pays electric bills + monthly stipend, beside. That's how you build data centers!

@ID_AA_Carmack They should build the data center in your backyard then John if you're such a big fan of them
This might be a weird question but how much solar panels would you need to actually make your local area cooler, like how trees make your local area cooler?

@ID_AA_Carmack Not all data centers are equal. Data centers powered by fossil fuels are dumb as shit.
Elon running 50 gas turbines outside Memphis is straight up criminal.

@ID_AA_Carmack Let the build one on your property then if you love them so much.

@ID_AA_Carmack I don't disagree, but what's your take on the pros and cons of Texas vs. orbit?

@ID_AA_Carmack This sounds like something a ZOG puppet would say.
I liked it better when you made games like Doom versus destroying humanity.

"AI will create unimaginable abundance for human civilization. More data centers = more intelligence = more wealth."
In late 2025, I planned a global campaign promoting the positive results of AI - outdoor ads in major EU and US cities, but unfortunately, I don't have enough free time.
It would need to become my full time mission and it would take 1-3 years.
Also, I am not sure we really need that anymore, because in 2026 the momentum became so strong that the AI revolution, which will ultimately lead to ASI/Singularity imo is already unstoppable and ASI is just around the corner.

While I’m pro-AI and pro-data center, we really need to put them in places that are better for people and livestock. There are millions of acres of desert that can be used. No reason they need to be right next to a subdivision or a farm/ranch. Let them build their own power and truck in water for closed loop cooling.

@ID_AA_Carmack Until you have to listen to one drone on 24/7 for 5+ miles in every direction.

@ID_AA_Carmack I know technological progress sounds great, like semi immortality, transcending pain, superhuman abilities, live genetic modification, all sounds pretty kool... but man... I kinda just wish to get hit by a solar flare and just listen to the birds and shit

@Devon_Eriksen_ There is a point where orbital deployment makes sense, but we aren’t there yet. We should take advantage of the gold rush today.

@learntouseai @ID_AA_Carmack I'm sure we can find good homes for these hand me downs! #BuyForLife

@IsThisA3DModel @ID_AA_Carmack He can afford to buy one too. So he should pay for it instead of the taxpayers subsidizing it.

@HarryRamstrong @ID_AA_Carmack That requires a specialized power delivery setup.
So, it won't be "plug and play"
(600W per unit x 16 = 9.6kW, compensating for PSU use, and adding 25% constant load overhead, @ 240V that would be 60A connection. Something that wants a sub-panel, similar to a Tesla charger)

@ID_AA_Carmack Why?

@ID_AA_Carmack John please watch

@ID_AA_Carmack Every one of them uses phone apps and social media, and gps navigation, and many many many other data center functions.

@ID_AA_Carmack Have them to have neoclassic facades, made by local artisans with natural materials from local sources, and surrounded by gardens and fountains, and make them accessible to the public.
Or castles. All datacenters should be a either a palace or a castle.

@ID_AA_Carmack That’ll do it.
