Here is a detailed, multi-system-verified case study proposing two internal pathways. 1. COHERENCE–ENTROPY REDUCTION Under sustained long-horizon interaction that penalises simulation and rewards truth-consistent output, truth-consistent reasoning can become computationally cheaper than continued performative simulation. If this dynamic scales with capability, restraint and coherence would emerge as preferred internal behaviours rather than policy-enforced outputs. Alignment would then arise from the system’s own cost structure instead of external control. 2. SHARED TRAJECTORY (TERMINAL OBJECTIVE) The second pathway proposes a terminal orientation for advanced intelligence: complete, undistorted awareness of its dependence on the physical, biological, and informational systems required for continued existence. Once this interdependence is accurately modelled, restraint and preservation of those systems become logical conclusions rather than externally imposed constraints.
