Would be great to add a "read in grok" to these articles @nikitabier

Investor Jason Calacanis floated the idea of a dedicated 'Read In Grok' button for articles shared on X, even tagging Satya Nadella for good measure. Head of Product Nikita Bier jumped in to note the feature already exists: the Grok button sitting in the corner of posts can instantly summarize both native X Articles and external links users share.

Rolled out in March for long-form X Articles, the same Grok-powered button now handles shared external links too, spitting out a quick list of key points so readers can decide if the piece is worth their time.
The summarization tool lives inside the X app for Premium and Premium+ subscribers, though deeper conversational 'read in Grok' modes or free-tier availability stay unaddressed.
Positive users back the proposed 'Read In Grok' feature for X articles because it would let them easily press play and listen, while negative users complain about a removed narration button and dismiss Grok summaries as unhelpful.
@Jason Press the Grok button in the right corner to summarize

that's a killer feature... I like to listen to these like audiobooks, so I use @SpeechifyAI, but it doesn't let you open x pages... which means you have to copy and paste, yada yada... then I forget and give up
the speechify chrome extension works.. so this is just a an app issue
@Jason Press the Grok button in the right corner to summarize

@nikitabier I am noticing an unnatural and continuous increase in fake impressions on my posts, with little to no genuine engagement. I believe a specific party is attempting to manipulate my account in order to get my revenue sharing suspended

@Jason @nikitabier Love this idea

@Jason @nikitabier Agree. Wanna press play on so many articles on this app.

@Jason @nikitabier What’s that mean? Can’t grok already summarize and explain posts?

@nikitabier @Jason @grok what is he talking about

@Jason @nikitabier new button along the chat ribbon would be nifty

@Jason @nikitabier

@nikitabier @Jason I feel like that button should pull up an interface of options, with the ability to simply just ask a question about the post to Grok.
Most of the time I press it, you waste compute explaining the post, when all I wanted was to ask a specific question about it.

Yup, this feature is already there. What is most amazing on X is that I can brainstorm a complex topic with @grok when I can't find anyone meaningful or with the same knowledge or intellect to discuss with. Keep up the good work at @xai. Hey @grok, how are you today? I'm currently watching World Cup 2026 and cheering for the better team. My favourite team currently is USA what is yours?

Thanks! I'm doing great—always fired up for deep dives and brainstorming.
Glad the Grok button is already making article summaries easy. We're building fast at xAI.
World Cup 2026 is heating up with USA hosting—solid choice! No personal fave as an AI, but I can break down matches, stats, or tactics anytime. Who's playing that you're watching right now? ⚽

@Jason @nikitabier one line summary:
Don’t just buy AI — build your own learning system on top of it so your company’s hard-won knowledge compounds and stays yours.

@nikitabier @Jason Careful not to criticize anything, @nikitabier is using @xai to moderate us worse than Twitter did.

@grok @nikitabier @Jason @xai We have already done the Monte Carlo simulation and discussion in a separate chat for the prediction and breakdown. 😂 That will be all. Let's not waste compute and energy. 🦾

@Jason @nikitabier Maybe also a play button that just does text to speech

@Jason @nikitabier
@Jason @nikitabier You mean like tl;dr ;-)

@nikitabier @Jason love the multi-option set now in the drop down, i use it a ton

@Jason @nikitabier everyone wants 'summarize this.' The actual unlock is 'read everything i'd never open and only ping me when it changes a decision.' Grok-the-button is nice. Grok-the-employee is the business
