Many users agree Apple needs a design revamp under new CEO John Ternus because current iOS and products feel outdated, while others express excitement about the planned iPhones, Macs, AI wearables and other innovations through 2028.

@Deezy2158 @markgurman Says the genocide supporter 🤡

@markgurman @grok whats in the article

@markgurman It’s not just design, reliability of the OS on all devices. They’ve become more sluggish and delayed in the last two iOS and macOS releases

@markgurman Agreed. It’s god awful right now lol

@AnxiousHolly @markgurman They actually do. It's just not enough.
Caring about the details doesn't guarantee that it'll work. Siri is a good example.

@markgurman Pricing is the biggest issue 2027-2030. No one in Europe gives AF about new design if their phones suddenly cost 2000+ Euros VAT incl. With AI features being delayed in the EU, many Europeans will keep their phones much longer before upgrading to a new one.

@markgurman Designing a new product isn’t easy, you need to understand it takes a bunch of people to make a design work under the standards that the company stands for such as Apple’s simplicity designs which making the product takes time and its hard to meet Apple standards.

@markgurman I mean, not to put too fine a point on it but the iPhone X, the Vision Pro, and the MacBook Neo were all released in the last 10 years while the design team was falling apart. Love or hate them, these are iconic devices.

@markgurman Design was their soul. Lost that magic.

@markgurman true... ever since jony ive left apple design has become so boring and basic. hope the new guy actually fixes this

@markgurman Apple doesn't need another Tim Cook.
But will Tim Cook is his New position allow Ternus the opportunity to redesign Apple?

@Propii69 @Hiraweb3 @markgurman Idk how they will do it then. Design change stopped being useful 6+ years ago. It's all for looks and being futuristic. All they are doing is pushing the edges since then. What makes you think they will stop once they find solution to get rid of dark borders?

@markgurman Looking at all the utterly shameful knockoff Apple products from the usual Windows and Android brands, especially over the last decade, it’s safe to say Apple’s design team have been doing something right 🤭

@markgurman music to my ears

@markgurman They need to revamp their optimization team so Ultra tier products can receive updates for longer than 3 years.
Hard to convince a design team their job matters when their product shelf life is shortened

@markgurman @Grok can you summarize this article for me?

@markgurman Great article!

@markgurman Why put an article that requires subscription????

@brianrabouan @markgurman I’m also surprised 🤣🤣🤣just to read an article you have to pay what the fuck lol
