Anthropic folds Claude Cowork into chat and adds Docs and Slides

Anthropic says it is merging Claude Cowork and chat into one Claude experience, so users will no longer have to choose a separate workspace before starting a task. The company also introduced Claude Docs and Claude Slides, while bringing Claude Design into conversations. Docs and Slides can be edited, shared and exported, with direct editing and comment-based collaboration among the features described by Anthropic. The unified experience is rolling out to Pro and Max users on web, desktop and mobile over the coming weeks. Docs, Slides and Design are beta tools on paid plans, with Team and Free access planned later.
