Muslim Pro parent Bitsmedia lays off 21 employees

Tech in Asia reports that Singapore-based Bitsmedia laid off 21 employees across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Bangladesh as part of a restructuring. The publisher says Muslim Pro, Bitsmedia’s app, has 190 million-plus downloads. Bitsmedia’s managing director and CEO said AI was “not a factor in the decision” and that the company has no plans for further restructuring at this time.
