Anthropic announces Claude Duet, a proactive AI agent

Engadget reports Anthropic announced Claude Duet as a research-preview agent, with a US waitlist open to Claude subscribers. Anthropic says Duet will surface action items from connected apps, work on tasks in the background and check with users before acting on their behalf. The company says subscribers to its $20-a-month Pro plan will get access when Duet becomes generally available.
