The expected return of indie vs VC I feel is oddly the same, if you're succesful you'll eventually end up at around $50M to $100M net worth
Even billion dollar startups, the founders end up with only ~5% ownership on average, that is if they become successful at all
The difference is that we don't have the stress of managing staff etc
I’m a huge fan of @levelsio and people like @marclou who build in public.
But I can’t help wondering… if they put all of that energy into a single company, would the eventual exit be worth 20x more than everything they earn across all those projects?
Then again, I also know that’s probably not how they’re wired. Building lots of things is what makes them successful in the first place.
