SiliconANGLE reports that Socratic Partners led the Series A, with participation from Hudson River Trading. The round brings PicoJool’s total funding to $39.5 million.
TLDR
PicoJool says it will use the funding to expand teams and facilities in the U.S. and Taiwan, qualify products with customers and bring its semiconductor lasers and optical links to market. The company claims its technology can improve AI cluster performance and energy efficiency by moving data through optical cables rather than copper wires. PicoJool says it has begun early sampling of its chip-level products and is working with WIN Semiconductor and other foundries to prepare its 200G lasers for production.
