The trap is thinking the network comes first. It does not. I spent the first two years building Docuee in relative silence. No network to speak of. No investors. No connections to the right people. Then I started showing up on X with something real to say about education, AI and what it actually looks like to build something from Nigeria. The network started finding me. Not because I networked. Because I was doing something I genuinely believed was worth doing and said so out loud consistently. Naval is right. The network is a byproduct of the work. Not a prerequisite for it.
