Nvidia updates DLSS 5, promising 20% lower GPU VRAM cost

Gizmodo reports that updated DLSS 5 visuals looked less drastic in screenshots and an NBA 2K27 demo, though the AI still changed lighting and faces. Nvidia says the model is shrinking to 118 million parameters and its GPU VRAM cost is down 20%. Gizmodo says the frame-rate hit may fall from half to about a third, depending on the GPU and resolution.
