METR Announces Around $71 Million in Funding Commitments
Berkeley nonprofit that evaluates frontier AI models announces commitments for new projects.
METR stated it raised commitments of around $71 million in the last six months. The money will fund projects studying autonomous capabilities, tracking recursive self-improvement, evaluating monitoring systems, conducting risk assessments, and investigating AI incidents.
