@jxnlco It would be great if they came to Europe. The app's browser is really good.

@pedropverani @jxnlco Download the codex beta app

@jothecoder this is def a big thing we're working on
codex users!
how have you found codex'x ability to use (correctly)
computer use / chrome extension / in app browser?
if you want to give us feedback leave a comment and I'll organize it for the team!

@JoniYashvili do you often need auth'd actions?

The in app browser is the best browser implementation for my use cases available in the market. I found that working with artifacts I have created, viewing them, and making changes with annotations works really well. I like Codex's computer use very much, particularly its ability not to take over my cursor and work independantly. Of course, I wish the speed was faster, and there are still many cases computer use cannot yet do end to end. I use the Chrome extension less and less, and I also found that Codex works perfectly well with Safari without the extension for some of my use cases.

@jxnlco i would love by default if browser mode doesn't just try to go into the specific window that im working in and when i click away on another tab it interrupts.

@jxnlco if you use multiple screens on a laptop you need to make sure whatever computer use is using is on the same screen youre working on otherwise it will often pull you back to whatever screen its working on.

@jxnlco idk when to tell it to use each, it should be smarter and maybe choose on its own?

@jxnlco The @chrome browser constantly picks/uses the wrong chrome profile even when I tell it to use a particular one. there needs to be a better, more reliable way, to specify the profile to use

@pedropverani @Braders2k @jxnlco You can install from the beta app, it'll work in the normal one. It's a package bug, restart and update your computer then it'll be fixed, the easiest fix is the beta app

@jxnlco windows computer use and browser use is often broken laptop computer use is seamless, though i still catch my codex preferring to never use browser use unless i explicitly say so it like hates it

@Braders2k @pedropverani @jxnlco It's there on the Microsoft store

@jxnlco MacOS always reports Computer use as broken/corrupted or asks for new permissions. Very annoying and slow. Used it to debug a Tauri app and very magical and wonderful, when it works.
In-app browser is good.
Too many chrome extensions already, don't want to install another one.

@jxnlco awful, since there's no computer use or chrome extension available for me, and i'm on windows, app updated

@jxnlco in-app browser is fantastic but I really have to argue with it to get it to use the in-app browser. Rarely defaults to it, feels like it should be a priority/recommended tool

@jxnlco Shpuld know better how to copy login cookies from a chrome profile to iap or a new instance

Always wants to use chrome debugger instead of the chrome extension despite skills, agent.md prompts etc otherwise.
Which is annoying because it takes over screen focus when first initiated
Computer use is a dream other than not being able to use your computer at the same time

@pedropverani @Braders2k @jxnlco Go to plugins in codex beta and search computer

@YashasGunderia @Braders2k @jxnlco I’ll try , but should be working on the normal app also
