@TeslaratiI just realized I never circled back on this. Guy who wanted to experience FSD was early 30s, software developer, owns a software/app dev company, said almost every portion of his life is automated or utilizes AI. He said everything in his bedroom - curtains, fans, tv - all controlled by timers of some sort or some kind of automation. Driving is the only thing he has left to automate in his life. During our drive, he asked a lot of questions: How often to I change lanes manually, how the Speed Profiles work, if it parks itself, how Navigation works, how it handles pedestrians, cyclists, and others. He couldn’t get over how FSD stopped short of an intersection to not block traffic. He couldn’t get over how FSD stopped to allow pedestrians to cross in a crosswalk when humans drove straight through. He couldn’t get over how FSD handled 3 lanes of bumper to bumper rush hour traffic in an area of highway that he said his Mom refuses to drive on. He’s entertained buying her a Tesla so she is willing to take the drive to his house. All in all, it was really a treat to see someone who had never experienced FSD realize that a car can do everything they can do, and more, but better.24d
