BGMI Lite is planned to arrive in India by the end of 2026, giving Battlegrounds Mobile India players a version aimed at phones that may not have the storage or hardware headroom for the full game.
According to Digit's report, Android users can already pre-register. The outlet says Krafton has also confirmed that existing BGMI accounts will work with the Lite version, so players should not need to create or move to a separate game ID.
The distinction matters because this is not simply a new season or an optional graphics setting. A Lite edition is meant to lower the practical barrier to playing the same mobile battle-royale ecosystem for people using budget or older phones. The company has not announced a specific launch date in the reporting reviewed here, so the end-of-year window remains a plan rather than a calendar promise.
