Commentator NIK argued the underlying technology remains viable despite speculative hype aside from the financial bubble.
Some users supported Michael Burry's AI valuation peak warning by citing his past trades, while many others insulted him as washed-up or lucky and called the sector a bubble.

He got the entire china trade right. He was also right on healthcare longs. AI trade is a momentum one not a value one, so I don't understand momentum traders dunking on a deep value investor for walking the talk on his specific philosophy.
This is like dunking on Jane or Virtu for missing the entire AI trade.

@jbulltard1 Andrea is NOT fucking around lol

@jbulltard1 Can we just admit that Burry got incredibly lucky during 2008 and has been riding that game ever since

@jbulltard1 Don’t forget $FISV which I also commented on and got me blocked 🤣🤣

@jbulltard1 I don’t pretend to be near as good as Burry but I can’t help but think his legendary bets in MBS and GameStop have gotten to his head a little bit. Is it really worth listening to someone who hits a home run approximately once a decade?

@jbulltard1

@jbulltard1 How fast is Burry sprinting to the block button?

@jbulltard1 He's completed his evoluton from Christian Bale to The Joker.

@ManageDeclineUK @jbulltard1 There’s no world where longing Adobe and Lululemon in 2026 is smart.

@ns123abc AI is not a bubble, but there is a bubble around AI compute, for what we get out of AI at the current sota. if the sota makes inference more of a financial (not just a strategy story) win, there is no compute bubble. there is little doubt capabilities will continue to grow.

@ns123abc but 2 things might happen: short term value expectation is too inflated, leading to overinvestment, which then can crash the market even if AI itself continues to improve throughout a market crash (and later on undoes it, though when is unknown), and or

@ns123abc structural limitations of fontier AI remain unadressed and that creates a mismatch between AGI expectations and AGI-ish AI delivery, generating a crash.

@jbulltard1 Brutal . I do like his lulu position tbh

@jbulltard1 I give Andrea 2 years of day trading before she’s insolvent trading 50 dollars a handjob beneath the Brooklyn bridge

@jbulltard1 It kept getting better and better

@jbulltard1 No one gives him credit for long Samsung

@jbulltard1 bulltard name checks out ..

@ns123abc when it pops everything will go straight up. the popping moment will be when a fable class model can run locally on mobile.

@jbulltard1 Andrea looks smart now but if the market is severely downturned in 1, 2 years, to the point where its lower than it was in 2023 or 2022, then Burry will look smart.
