TLDR
Gizmodo reports that documents noticed by The Intercept appear to show the Pentagon’s ambition to develop ECHOTRIBBLE, an AI framework designed to navigate infrastructure and identify and neutralize threats. According to Gizmodo, the defense nonprofit CFIC says a virtual assessment event generated 65 whitepapers, with five slated for presentations. Gizmodo says it’s unclear whether the military has obtained any AI-powered hacking tools from the effort.
