OpenAI’s planned 10 a.m. PT event, first flagged in an OpenAI post on X, turned out to be more than a model reveal. During the livestream and in follow-up posts, CEO Sam Altman wrote on X that GPT-5.6 arrived alongside three product announcements: ChatGPT Work, a new desktop app and hosted sites. OpenAI also posted that the GPT-5.6 family, Sol, Terra and Luna, was starting to roll out in ChatGPT, Codex and the API.
