AI swallows many tasks.

You build a highly capable general technology, don’t be surprised when it starts by doing lots of random small things first

Likely see a big recede of the tide as small businesses struggle to keep up at first

Followed by a resurgence as individuals learn how to leverage new tools to max effect and attack the fringes ignored by big compute

I see myself building my own small datacenter and robot making/repair lab. That's where I see my post-AI thing.

Capitalism might die as we starve optimizing costs with automation, no customers because no one is making money anymore.

Or, more jobs because with AI a lot of new niches born. We'll see. I see abundance too all even if money ceases to exist.

@levelsio If usage subsidization will run dry we will witness the real fallout. Everything will become a lot more expensive and bootstrapping could become much harder.

For anyone reading the comments, levelsio is the 0.1% of the 0.1% of the world. There's still A LOT of opportunities for you in the implementation layer, you can do this for anyone else, e.g.: build software for a restaurant, build a software for an industry, that was previously using, less specialized, worse and/or more expensive software. There's still demand for software! It's just, different, I believe.

@levelsio this is definitely the arc that leads to colocation. then you only pay for bandwidth and power (but have to pay for hardware). you'll save boatloads!
