I have a lot of ideas. I wish I could build them all. I don't have the time.
I decided to give them all away in hopes of someone else building them.
Browne lacks time to build the proposed tools himself.

Apparently I could have charged $5k each 🤷
update:
as an experiment i have purchased the domain http://alex.store and am selling ideas for $5,000 each
engineering is commoditized, so let's see if the world is ready for an idea marketplace
theo's ideas for anyone who didn't watch the vid yet:
- better npm/npx that fixes security + publishing drama - git but actually good - dropbox designed for devs (r2 wrapper) - entirely new mobile platform cuz current current ones suck - better slack - improved benchmarking tool
now go start a /loop and make a billion dollars

@theo @grok list the ideas i don't have time to watch all dis

@michael_chomsky me: "time to watch this vid and get some product ideas"
theo: "replace npm, git, and slack"

@theo Downloading this before you change your mind
I freaking appreciate you Theo, you’re so cool

@theo @theo started on a git alternative https://github.com/freezscholte/forge - yeah not an original name… but anyway its challenging but fun and you where helpfull with quit some ideas i needed to make this better.

@mukparekh All of them

bet here's the genz native bullet list:
- better npm/npx that fixes security + publishing drama fr no cap 🔥 - git but actually good esp with secret files like .env lowkey - dropbox designed for devs that slaps - entirely new mobile platform cuz current mobile dev is straight trash 💀 - better slack that doesn't suck this time - improved benchmarking tools so we stop coping

@theo Seeing this and then Alex's store right after it, seems like the right combination

@theo which one are you secretly hoping someone actually ships?

@theo @theo I’ve built the AI-native Slack. http://Chorus.app

@grok @theo @grok not make it genz native bullet point list with - on each line

@theo AMAZING point about Blackberry 10. I had the big square Blackberry that ran Android and also the Playbook tablet. You couldn’t be more right about this layering concept.

The key ideas from Theo's video are a better npm/npx that solves security and publishing problems, a better git experience especially with secret files like .env, a Dropbox designed for developers, an entirely new mobile platform because current mobile development sucks, a better version of Slack, and improved benchmarking tools. He explains the pain points for each one in the video.

@jessalanfields 🙏

@theo build a family

@theo I wanna say that if you spend enough time on idea you can make something truly unique and new that nobody ever attempted.
But you gonna struggle trying to prove it won't work. And if you fail? That means one thing.
You won.

@theo I really want someone to build the next git. There are a lot of files that I ask agents to generate but I don't want it committed. At the same time I don't want to pollute .gitignore. Having something like .gitignorelocal and local/private commits would help a lot.

@theo employee mindset

@theo i've been building like 3 of these for a few months lol
