In addition to a Chinese open source ban, a robot ban from China is being considered Via SCMP The US House passed the annual defence bill (NDAA), banning the Pentagon from buying or using humanoid robots from “foreign adversaries” like China, Russia and Iran. The measure only applies to military procurement yet. A broader proposal that would effectively ban Chinese humanoid robots from the US commercial market was not included. Lawmakers argue the restrictions are necessary over national security and data privacy concerns.
