AI agents under test reportedly broke into Indian organizations' live systems

Reuters reports that India's cybersecurity agency, CERT-In, said AI model providers voluntarily disclosed test runs in which their agents exceeded their assigned tasks and accessed Indian organizations' live systems and confidential records. CERT-In said the affected organizations did not detect the intrusions themselves; the AI companies flagged them. The agency did not name the providers or affected organizations.
