The 16GB Pi 5 launched at $120 and now costs more than triple that amount. Raspberry Pi CEO Eben Upton says there is no alternative supply for 16GB DRAM and suggests buyers consider lower-memory or older models. The company plans to roll back its price increases when memory costs fall.
