You can justify basically anything by being directionally correct In speaking to a hostile audience. See my critique of AI 2040 as being more accelerationist and more successionist than even most accelerationists and successionists would be comfortable with. Re “what you believe”, I don’t think you’d explicitly endorse that, it’s more a revealed preference kinda thing.
