AI companies, investors and unions form alliance to seek data center rules

Axios reports that AI companies, private equity firms and unions are forming the multimillion-dollar American Infrastructure Alliance. The group plans campaigns in Texas, Georgia, Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Indiana and South Carolina. It wants to work with state and local officials on data center standards and guardrails in 2027, and hopes to head off moratoriums on new construction.
