Scoble Compares Fable 5 And GPT-5.6-Sol On Reliability Writing And Tasks
A linked X post framed Fable 5 as more thoughtful and GPT-5.6-Sol as more dependable for multi-step work, and the replies mostly ran with the dog metaphor.
In a widely shared post on X, Peter Gostev compared Fable 5 with GPT-5.6-Sol and said the write-up was based on his own "vibes." His summary cast Fable 5 as more thoughtful, articulate and strong at writing, while GPT-5.6-Sol was the model that would "grab the problem by the throat and not let go until it is done." Sam Altman amplified that framing with a joking quote-post about loving rottweilers.

Commentary on X
Highest ranked@petergostev The best 5.6 writeup I've seen. Good info. Appreciate it. The swear meter is a great idea. I'm gonna steal that. I've always trusted Codex more. Until Fable came out, I stopped letting Claude write my code. It only plans, orchestrates, and listens to me when I have brain dumps.
