What happens when Apple is asked to play by the rules? They take their ball and go home. Apple is refusing to release Siri AI in the EU, punishing consumers and trying to pressure regulators who are enforcing the #DMA and holding Apple accountable. https://appleinsider.com/articles/26/06/08/siri-ai-new-apple-intelligence-not-coming-to-eu-right-away-thanks-to-dma

@MacRumors Of course it is. Apple knows there’s no fucking around with EU laws. Enabling Siri in EU would cost Apple a lots of money for violating the EU laws and expose Siri’s ways of collecting personal informations and other stuff prohibited within EU

@piotrekcichocki @EU_Commission People buy an iPhone because they trust Apple to keep it safe. Now the EU wants them to open it up. Freaking 🤡🌍

@piotrekcichocki @EU_Commission "Apple does not get to decide who innovates in europe". Such arrogance. Such gaslighting. Out of touch and full of pride.
Poverty will hit us hard.

@AlexanderKuduz @MacRumors If you think it’s because Siri is “collecting personal information”, you truly are a boot licker.
EU demanding system level access for ANY AI provider is not something they should be able to do.

@piotrekcichocki @EU_Commission Someone has to get off his damn high horse. How arrogant and totally misguided.

@piotrekcichocki @EU_Commission What a foolish response. EU wants iPhone to let its competitors into its system. Are these people for real?

@MacRumors funny how the EU rejected Apple's proposal and yet somehow it's Apple's fault?

@piotrekcichocki @EU_Commission Users chose the iPhone though. Is that not enough?

@MacRumors how dare Apple want privacy in AI, right?

@piotrekcichocki @EU_Commission Who’s this moron? Didn’t vote for him. How he’s able to speak on my behalf? What the fuck is this?

@MacRumors hope apple holds its ground - EU’s approach is a severe security risk for the users.

@piotrekcichocki @EU_Commission Why EU will decide for me what should I use on my phone? If I use an iPhone I choose to use an Apple product. I don’t want EU to decide for me how should I I use a product that I buy.

The EU is essentially putting holes in its own boat and everyone in it has to deal with the consequences. As developers based in the EU we have HUGE DISADVANTAGES caused by your decisions. We CANNOT test, integrate or use it. We would like to build with new technologies at the same time as people outside the EU.

@MacRumors Funny how google has no problems at all with stuff like this on android

@MacRumors It’s not Apple’s alone. EU is demanding default, system-level access for any third-party app that claims to be an AI assistant. Which is dangerous, especially given Apple's privacy-focused AI stance. Apple, respectably, is not bowing down. It’s basically EU’s way or the highway

Apple is adapting its Siri AI to comply with China's mass surveillance technology. Conversely, Apple is refusing to adapt Siri AI to comply with EU competition law, and they are blaming the EU. Why isn't Apple blaming China as well? 😂 Because if they did, China would arrest Tim Cook during his next visit and behead him within a week.

this guy thinks so highly of himself and europe. it's disgusting, "europe decides who gets to innovate" ??
apple has the product here you little shit. they will 100% just not sell in the EU instead of ruining their security of their products.
what ai companies do we have here in the EU anyway? or who else will make a phone in the EU? haha lmao

@MacRumors This is literally the exactly same response they gave when iOS18 was out. I bet EU they have no clue that we are talking about new iOS27.

@MacRumors The unrealistic and overreaching demands of the eu are not Apple's fault. The eu tries to make its demands look normal and basic. They aren't.
