They have deep implications for entertainment as well. It's always been my dream to have a holodeck, at least since I saw one on Star Trek, and every day such a thing becomes more and more possible.
In 18 months, it's going to be able to simulate anything your mind can come up with, allowing you to: 1. Walk around said thing 2. Manipulate said thing 3. Interact with said thing 4. Talk to said thing 5. Play with said thing 6. Create with said thing (among other things)
