@alexolegimas @RuxandraTeslo Some of them have had dubious benefits if not negative effects on the whole Has social media improved our society & politics? Have addictive games & dark UX? Has online gambling? Has Bitcoin, memecoins, & NFTs? Has Web 3.0, whatever that was? Has "move fast & break things"?
If ANYONE actually felt warmly about medical progress, then the FDA would at least have to have an anti-aging approval category. But they don't. You smartphone transport units have been conditioned since birth to hate everything that lives. It's amazing that anything in the US still works at all.

We all have an individual responsibility to: 1) Tell people about the good things in our life and work, not just problems 2) Be sensitive and curious toward positive stories in the world, when reasonable "believe the hype" 3) Encourage others toward optimism and excellence -- if people feel they will be hated for their happiness or success they might still strive, but they will be shy about sharing
