Alibaba just released Qwen 3.8 Omni Flash as the next few iPhone cycle will become increasingly AI-focused, with Qwen positioned to support Apple Intelligence in China across $AAPL devices. Kimi K3 may outperform Qwen on some pure reasoning and coding benchmarks, but Alibaba has the potential distribution advantage of getting its AI directly into millions of iPhones. That turns Qwen from simply another model competing on benchmarks into a potentially massive consumer AI usage story for Alibaba. Bullish.
