Tesla releases FSD v14 Lite for HW3 hardware
The update improves parking, reversing, and responsiveness.
Older cars pick up parking and smoother moves
HW3 vehicles now gain start-from-park, park-to-park driving, reversing, and arrival preferences while seeing fewer false slowdowns and steadier lane centering in everyday driving.
Early numbers show cautious fleet spread
The build is live in the US for FSD-equipped HW3 Model 3 and Y cars, yet tracker samples place adoption around three percent so far with no word yet on wider timing.
Positive users praise Tesla's FSD V14 update for bringing major improvements and value to older HW3 models, while negative users argue it still requires supervision and falls short of true full self-driving.

Your old Tesla just got 10x better
Yesssss
Yes, I’m on HW3
26 miles through a ton of construction, flawless
@SullyAugustine Try the latest version, you basically don’t have to supervise it at all
@cnystrom @typesfast I mean as an opportunity to get cheap self driving car. Lots of people purchased FSD, especially before 2020 or so.
@sjurgis @typesfast It drives better than a human driver.
@Austen Guess my old 2017 Model X has some life in it yet
@typesfast Suddenly if I need an inexpensive Tesla old AI3 Teslas are on the table.
@Austen give me this in strip mall terms
@Austen Better at some things than 12.6, worse at others.
@Austen On HW3? Lfg
@typesfast Somehow I was the first 3K FSD beta tester from Oct 2021 and I still don’t have this release. Slightly impatient, mostly joking, but exciting. Ya, my 8 year old Model 3 is about to get a LOT better
@Austen can’t believe they admitted to distilling in the first sentence
@Austen Sweet I just got it
@typesfast It’s so cool to imagine this approach to frontier distillation that revives old hardware soon extending to every other piece of technology and machine in the world. It helps to have been designed for brain transplants… but the models are going to fill the other gaps too.
@Austen Our update looks very different than yours 😭
@typesfast Is it gonna stop crapping out when cameras hit with direct sunlight?
@cnystrom @typesfast there's a lot of crashed tesla's with fsd purchased out there
@sjurgis @typesfast I am a 96% FSD user. It works great for me.
