Obviously, it won't be the tokens magically making this happen, but nonetheless some smart outputs by AIs will pretty quickly yield a world where AIs can turn tons of lead into gold if that's what's wanted. (Perhaps within 1-6 years after full automation of AI R&D.)

I get the idea, but this is a funny example because it is totally feasible to turn lead into gold.
