@tenobrus i had that problem too. fixed it by reversing order of ops -fable: full plan + task decomp -gpt/opus: read the plan and complete all work -me: "fable i think they did it wrong and are lying but idk" -fixes it w/ no stop models trained on web data must obey cunningham's law
8:51 PM · Jul 14, 2026i resent this a lot because as i spend more time with both models it's increasingly clear fable remains significantly more capable. it's forcing me do a lot more manual management of subtasks and direction than i would have to otherwise.

7:13 PM · Jul 14, 2026these days i'm running into random fable refusals often enough at work it's really pushing me towards Sol. nothing worse than letting something rip for 30 minutes coming back and realizing it swapped to opus halfway through.
7:07 PM · Jul 14, 2026@tenobrus Ho ho ho, what do we have here, anthropic boy having second thoughts? Don't worry, plenty of room in the accelerationist club. Well have you whenever you are ready
