No matter whether or how you use AI to produce writing, I think you should be able to pass this test. If you can't, I don't think you should publish under your own name

Anecdote: I’ve been giving out some early copies of my book to folks in Cannes. Met a college kid who thought the cover was cool, I give him a book.
He flips to a random page (72?) asks a question about the context of a very specific sentence. I rattled off an answer immediately. He was like “Oh nice, AI def didnt write this.”
Similar tests will increasingly appear in job interviews and just general high stakes conversations as proof of work: randomized questioning about parts of “your work” to prove you actually know the thing.
