I vibe-CADed a hexapod walker entirely with claude/codex, learned the walking gait entirely in the 3d simulator, 3d printed the generated files, ordered the full BOM from amazon, assembled the thing. The fact that this is possible is amazing, but there's still some clear differences between the simulated world and reality π.
Lukas Biewald, Weights & Biases co-founder, uses Claude and Codex to design and build a physical walking hexapod robot
Real-world physics behaved differently than the digital simulation.
Users praised the CEO's hexapod robot built via AI code generation and 3D printing for its impressive realism and cool functionality.

@realoutdoordad @l2k you can almost hear it whisper
"please kill me"

@l2k The way it just gives up like a real animal dying is top notch.

@l2k Only minor differences π Amazing how much personification happens when it's physical - that thing is clearly struggling, poor spider!!

@l2k π€£you'll get there!
