Um, as everyone (including me) obviously knew, we knew a complex S⁶ would have no meromorphic functions, no divisors, nothing algebraic — 40 years of results describing a thing everyone assumed was a ghost. Turns out that may have been a blueprint. That's right. I wrote that.
