Congratulations, but renaming it "X" remains the dumbest move ever in the history of the galaxy.
Reports of our death were greatly exaggerated.

Many users criticized the Twitter rebrand to X as bad branding that erased a decade of product identity and burned significant brand value.

@francoisfleuret Blink twice if you're under duress

@francoisfleuret 'Meta' is objectively worse lol

@Leo_Glisic Absolute disagree. Meta and its logo are absolutely excellent branding.

@Leo_Glisic "X" sounds like shitty super hero culture at best, porn at worst, and that was not naming a new global entity but renaming a well identified product that had already been accepted as a common word (to "tweet")!
Meta has none of these issues.

@francoisfleuret x was bad branding from day one tbh
still wild how they let a logo change erase a decade of product identity

@francoisfleuret the name change is still the biggest misplay ive ever seen
(twitter felt way better than X ever will)

@francoisfleuret the galaxy is generous with that timeframe tbh
what about tron though?

@francoisfleuret nah renaming it x wasnt a galaxy-tier mistake, just a regular awful move
wait people actually defend the rebrand now

@francoisfleuret still salty about the name years later and honestly i get it
the brand value they burned is wild to think about
