Speaking of, Fable shocked me by proposing a Grand Theory of East Asian cognitive profile, which seems better than the peasant-coded holistic/analytic dichotomy from the likes of Nisbett. Yeah it's mostly my theory; but it found a really clever new lens. @arcticinstincts
Fable made a good point recently that West Lake by default is an unremarkable marsh. It's pretty because it's maintained. Rightoids often say that "everything in China is fake". That is, to some extent, *correct*. It's an old land, that's been shaped by human labor for millennia.
