Codex Micro review I like it, pricey but hey for a limited edition dohicky why not, I'm having fun. Very clicky & tactile. Swapping chat threads with buttons does fulfill the RTS agent cycling zerg queen injections vibe. if you know you know. Here's the setup I came up with - Knob set to reasoning level - Joystick with 1 skill in each direction - Agent buttons, the top 6 set to pinned chats - Kept fast mode toggle button - swapped approve & reject buttons to "swap chats" & yolo. Not so sure about these 2. - Swapped fork button to "run env action 1" so I can 1 tap build my app! - kept voice mode and send button. Love the voice button. If you got a codex micro what does your setup look like?! I do find it weirdly restrictive with some of these buttons settings. Can only set certain actions on certain buttons. Trying to see if I can use custom app thing to customize further with layers, but I'm going with this for now! Some feedback & feature requests for the codex team: - Let me put skills on buttons PLZ!!! Come on this is the #1 use case, why can I only put skills & plugins on the joystick!? You gave me a whole yolo skill button keycap but no option to use my own skills!? - add a steer button shortcut action so I press a button to send the current prompt in the composer and steer it, skipping any queue. Or if there is no typed prompt and there is a queue, steer and send the first message in the queue. - Knob Control Please let the knob be able to scroll and select / skills. I would prefer a new option for opening skills instead of the full composer navigation or reasoning. Also, Please make the knob work in cmd+k overlay menu Please make the knob work in the switch chats overlay also make the send message button work as a confirm button for both of these views, same as enter (and allow these to work even if I have picked reasoning or skills only as the knob option, despite composer nav being deselected) - Agent Buttons It would be nice if I could swap the top agent buttons off and change them into other action or skill buttons. These are fairly redundant with the existing swap chat hotkeys via cmd+1, cmd+2, ... I want my buttons to be 4 pinned agent buttons, 3 skills, fast mode, steer, run env action 1, voice mode and send. But I'm stuck with extra agent buttons & no skills 😭 --- Anyways Overall a very cool little widget. Now that I think I've got a good setup I'm excited to spend more time codexing!
