Inc42 reported that Kepler Aerospace raised $8 million in its first external funding round since its 2018 founding by Navneet Singh and Kiran V Sharma. According to the report, the funds will support development and deployment of space-based intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities while scaling mission operations and avionics-as-a-service. Inc42 stated that a central goal is launching six autonomous swarming ISR satellites under two iDEX contracts for India’s defence space ecosystem, with those programmes having received around $4 million in iDEX grants. The report also noted that Kepler builds and operates infrastructure across the full satellite mission lifecycle.
