Chamath Palihapitiya Says AI Long-Horizon Tasks Still Fail

Rohan Paul posted a quote from Chamath Palihapitiya speaking at the Stanford AI Club. Chamath stated that long-horizon tasks remain a joke and current AI does not handle them. He added that complex problems also do not work and warned of a hype cycle that will lead to contraction and a trough of disillusionment. Gary Marcus replied that Chamath was right and linked to an earlier post of his own making the same point.
