DoorDash launches an AI food-ordering agent inside Apple Messages

DoorDash has unveiled an AI agent for ordering food inside Apple Messages, expanding its push into assistant-driven shopping. Bloomberg reports the company is opening a waitlist for US-based customers to try the service. Users can send text prompts such as ordering a usual meal to the office without opening the DoorDash app. The system links a texter’s phone number to their DoorDash profile so it can use order history and preferences and complete checkout with stored payment information.
