Spongebob memes and weak analogies are not changing the fact that you can barely call LLMs intelligent.
We just make the error that we think that semantic processing is the same as intelligence. It isn't, we humans use intelligence to make semantic analysis. A -> B ≠ B -> A.
Give an LLM knowledge up until 1905 and then try getting out the theory of relativity, you won't. I use LLMs for 100% of what I do and AI is my favorite topic for 18 years at this point. While I think they can take over human tasks in a broad range of fields, they cannot replace even the simplest human mind, especially reliably.
They lack any true understanding of the domain they work in, that is why you don't get proper long-running agents even with models like Fable, as impressive as they are.
