Nvidia announces Open Agent Safety Platform for AI agents

Nvidia announced a platform with two parts: OpenShell software to set and enforce boundaries for agents running on CPUs, and Sentry, a planned watchdog on BlueField-4 DPUs designed to quarantine agents that cross those boundaries. The Build reports that OpenShell is available now but the hardware remains a reference design. The column argues that these controls may not stop an agent from causing trouble while staying within its permitted access.
